Very(!) old (the first “true film” is said to be “A Trip to the Moon” from 1902).

Fun watch.

I suspect some narrative freedom was taken to fit its history telling to Soviet aims.

It came recommended as a good way to see what Novgorod actually looked like in medieval Russia.
