I have been considering to switch from iOs to Android for the same reasons I have considered making the move to BSD .

That is:

• freer software
• More possibilities for customisation
• Want to escape the Apple ecosystem

The general motivation for this is that I’d like to turn my phone into a tool and I think iOs is a hinderance sometimes in that regard.
